My Fashion History series is all about hitting the important highlights of 20th century fashion that every fashion professional should know to have a good working vocabulary of visual references. It's more of a general overview than a deep dive.

This installment covers the 1920s and we discuss the Jazz Age in a post-war US and Europe, how women's attitudes toward life in general affected the fashions they wore. I cover the New Woman aka Flapper look and the Robe de Style look, the 2 main silhouettes of this era.

Deborah Nash : The timeline at the beginning with historical context is sooooo essential! I haven't seen many fashion videos touch on the 'why' all of these things were happening. Yours is very clear and understandable! I teach high school art and design and this video could be a great reference tool for units on Art Deco in the 20s. Thanks for sharing this!
Fortysomething BadGirls : Loved the video! Please do more on the history of fashion.
Noel Jordan Racca : Thank you so much, Zoe, for sharing and teaching us the history of fashion. From Belle Epoque to the Roaring '20s. Everything is really essential in helping us designers build our mood board and research. Much love and appreciation from the Philippines.
parepidemos productions : For fashion videos, I'd love to hear your input on styling services throughout history... they're becoming more accessible and even taught to the consumers, but I wonder where it started to really take this direction. I don't know if this counts as fashion, but I'd love to get your take. Thanks!

Konsaliki : This is the type of video series that, once it's made its way into the algorithm and the recommendations, is gonna get thousands and thousands of views! Well done and highly interesting!
Callie Rose Martinsyde : I did a search for "men's fashion history" and this was one of the first results. I adore 1920s fashion, and I think men's clothes then looked far nicer than the masculine shape does now. Looking forward to seeing what other videos you have done.
MJ Austin : I'm designing clothes for a play set in the 1920's and these videos have been really helpful! (A lot of my books on 1920's fashion only go into detail on the women's fashion) :)
Lichen8404 : This is strange but I really like the way he says "Italy" and his accent in general.
Daniel Underwood : I want to start dress vintage but i'm so overwhelmed. And the source that i found mostly is about women clothing. Would you make a video for a beginner?

My wide ass edwardian hips: i'm about to ruin this man's whole career
madi bendy : I cannot express enough how much I hate the cliche 1920’s clothing, your videos make me so happy. I wish the rest of the fashion industry was more informed like your videos.
